Gomti Chakra, also called Gomti Shila, is the operculum (cover) of a rare kind of sea snail. It is found in the Gomati river, Dwarka (in the state of Gujarat). In Hindu mythology, the Gomti Chakra is associated with Lord Vishnu and is believed to have divine powers. It is often used in religious rituals and ceremonies and is also worn as a talisman or amulet for protection and good fortune. This sacred stone bestows wealth, good health and prosperity to its owner. It removes financial burden and protects against evil eye. It is also believed to give protection to children. A real and genuine Gomti Chakra is elevated like a shell on one side, and the other side is flat with circular design like whirl which looks like a snake. Gomti Shila is also used in jewelry-making.
